Kohli started slowly after Anuj Rawat’s wicket in the second over of the innings. He took time to sit alone. He hit his first boundary off his eighth ball and just when he seemed to be in the zone, he unfortunately got out through a run out.

Kohli tried to steal a single by hitting the fielder at the point, but Lalit Yadav dived to his right and threw the single directly into the visible stumps. Kohli sent Maxwell back after the ball was stamped. He fell slightly short of the crease and had to return to the pavilion after scoring 12 off 14 balls.
This is Virat Kohli’s second runout this season. The incident happened before his run-out against Rajasthan Royals. Kohli has so far scored 119 runs in six innings at an average of 23.8.
