UEFA Champions League quarter-finals: Bayern Munich are knocked out of the Champions League
Villarreal had the drama at the Allianz Arena late as they stunned Bayern Munich to reach their first Champions League semifinal in 16 years.
Nigeria rose 1-1 from the international bench two minutes into the second leg at Allianz Arena to send the Yellow Submarine to their first semifinal since the 2005-06 season.
Robert Lewandowski equalized early in the second half with his 13th Champions League campaign goal.
But there was a dramatic twist, as Chuckweiz ensured that Unai Emery would not be prevented from making it out of the last eight of the competition for the first time in his management career.

UEFA Champions League quarter-final: Villarreal win 2-1:
Bayern, who were knocked out after losing the opening leg in each of their last five Champions League knockout ties, quickly took possession to reverse the deficit.
But the Bundesliga leaders fought to break up a well-organized Villarreal team and the only attempt to target the Bavarian giants in the first half came when Jamal Musiala headed straight from Leon Goretzkar’s cross to Geronimo Ruli.
Bayern kept their pressure after the break and they were rewarded if Lewandowski scored in the 52nd minute; Dani Parejo digs home from the post after admitting to occupying a dangerous area.
Bayern were left to regret those misses in the final, when Europa League holders started a devastating counter-attack with Giovanni Lo Celso for Gerard Moreno, who was forced to move clinically away on behalf of the Chuckweis.

What does this mean? Shocked Bayern
The Bundesliga champions were knocked out of the quarter-finals in the current second season, falling to Paris Saint-Germain at this stage last year.
This is the third time in 11 attempts that Bayern have failed to advance from the last-eight tie in the European Premier League.
Villarreal will face either Liverpool or Benfica for a place in the final, despite the odds of reaching the last four.

What next?
Bayern resume their search for the 10th consecutive Bundesliga title as they travel to Armenia Bielefeld on Sunday. Villarreal return to La Liga action in Getafe on Saturday.
