Although no opening ceremony has been held for this year’s IPL, it has now been confirmed that there will be a closing ceremony before the grand final on May 29, which will be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

On Saturday, the BCCI issued a notification inviting bids from reputed companies for the closing ceremony of the tournament through a tender process. According to the guidelines, bidders are required to purchase a ‘Request for Proposal’ (RFP) document for INR 1 lakh and tax.
“The BCCI is planning to hold a closing ceremony this year. After the final match in Ahmedabad, we are discussing a closing ceremony this year. We want to bring back the color of IPL so that you can watch the closing ceremony. A BCCI source told ANI.
“BCCI invites bids from reputed companies to stage the closing ceremony of IPL 2022 through a tender process. Any interested party wishing to submit a bid must purchase their RFP. However, only those who meet the eligibility criteria set out in the RFP and subject to the other conditions set out there will be eligible to bid. BCCI honorary secretary Joy Shah wrote in the official notice.
