- Sunil Narine needed 30 runs at bat against SRH to score 1000 runs, but he scored only 6 runs and was dismissed by Natarajan in the third ball of the game against SRH.
Sunil Narine has been a part of KKR since 2012 and is the only IPL franchise he has ever played. If he takes these three wickets, he will become the second only bowler in the history of the IPL to take 150 wickets for a single franchise and join Lasith Malinga in the list. Malinga has taken 170 wickets in the IPL, all for the Mumbai Indians.
Before this year’s auction, KKR has retained Narin at Rs 6 crore. In four matches so far he has taken four wickets at an impressive economy rate of 4.85. He didn’t get much of a chance with the bat. He has played just two innings and has scored 16 runs so far.
