In a burning innings of Shreyas Iyer, the hard hitting batsman saw 7 boundaries and 4 huge sixes as he put pressure on the opponent. However, in the 17th over of the game, a great spell by the little magician Yuzbendra Chahal turned the game on its own. Chahal outscored Iyer in an exceptional delivery and with that the KKR middle and lower order began to decline.
The way Iyer was batting, Kolkata could have won. This could be KKR’s third successful 200+ run chase in IPL history. However, that record is in the hands of Rajasthan Royals when they chased down 226 runs against Kings XI Punjab in Sharjah in 2020.

Shreyas said, “I think from the start we got, we were going really well in terms of run-rate. Finchi was good but once he was out we slowed down a bit. We lacked something there, but it’s part of the game. Unfortunately, we were unable to click. My plan was to bat in the end, the opposite batsman would have to take it from one ball. “
“The matchup that Runner had was with Chahal. He did not give time and it happened. She [Buttler] Started a little slow and then he left. The way he runs the ball, he is a high quality batsman. Thanks to the way he batted. If we had gotten him out early, the scoreboard would have looked different.
“Amazing wickets to bat. Unfortunately Brabourne was not great for us. Hopefully we will come back strongly in the next match. There is a lot of stress and I like stress. I just wanted to set an example, no matter what the score. If they can get it, I can get it too. That’s what I thought. “
