“I had an offer to play the role of Imran Hashmi Gangster. I think the picture should have been made. Shoaib Akhtar has given this information quoting Geo TV.
Gangster: A love story directed by Anurag Basu and produced by the Bhatt family. In addition to Imran Hashmi, the film also stars Shiny Ahuja, Kangana Ranaut and Gulshan Grover. The film was a commercial success.
Interestingly, Shoaib Akhtar last acted for Pakistan in 2011 but the movie was a hit in 2006.
Known as the Rawalpindi Express, Akhtar holds the record for the fastest bowling in international cricket.
“I bowled at a speed of 161.3 km per hour and I have bowled at a speed of more than 163 km per hour in my career.” He said.

He ended his international career for Pakistan with 400+ wickets. He also played in the inaugural edition of IPL for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
Unfortunately, both Pakistani players and actors are currently banned in IPL and Bollywood (after Pulwama Attack 2019).
