In Rajkot, defending champions Railways got off to a winning start with a 64-run win over Himachal Pradesh.

S Meghna (47 off 40 balls) and Swagatika Roth (69 off 44 balls) put on 103 runs to take Railways to 181 for four.

Regular captain Mitali Raj did not take part in the opening match and Sneha Rana captained in his absence.
