Venkatesh Iyer ran towards the ball to save some runs and with a dive in front of the boundary stopped the ball hitting the rope. He succeeded in his endeavor but Butler and Padikkal were very good as the pair scored four runs.

It wasn’t easy, however, as Butler had to dive into the crease, before wicketkeeper Sheldon Jackson collected Venkatesh’s throw and broke the stumps.
Simon Doll was commenting in the air when the Rajasthan Royals batsmen stole four runs, he said, “Goodness me, Butler’s run is four. I don’t know if the umpires are checking but it doesn’t matter, does it? Don’t worry, they scored four runs.
The opening pair sewed the opening stand of 97 runs together. Butler scored a century when Padikkal was dismissed for 24, the second of his season. Butler made 103 off 61 deliveries as he posted 217/5 on the RR board.
