When Deepak Hooda and Quinton de Kock kept the ship stationary, Yuzbendra Chahal made a star turn. He smashed LSG’s middle order with 4 wickets for the Purple Cap.
In the end, Marcus Steinis kept hope alive with a blazing 38 off 17 balls but Kuldeep Sen confirmed that it was not. With 14 runs in the last over, Kuldeep bowled three dot balls as Stoinis failed to take LSG to the victory mark.

After a slow start, Shimron Hetmeyer delivered again. His 59 off 36 balls took the Rajasthan Royals to 165/6 when he escaped a drop catch by Krunal Pandya. But the highlight was that Ravi Ashwin decided to retire to make way for Ryan Pollen who could hit big in the death over.
Rajasthan Royals, who were sent to bat, did not have a good start. Devdutt Padikkal, who was promoted to the opening with Jos Butler, was slow to start with a tough wicket. But it was Avesh Khan who pushed, Jos Butler was removed. Soon, RR 67/4 went down Krishnappa hit Gautham twice, removing Padikkal and Rasi van der Dussen.
