It was the team’s second offense of the season under the IPL Code of Conduct relating to minimum over-rate offenses. Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma has been fined Rs 24 lakh and the remaining members of the playing XI have been fined Rs 6 lakh or 25 per cent of their match fee, whichever is less.

For the game, half-centuries from captain Mayank Agarwal and Shikhar Dhawan and some great bowling from Rabada and Oden Smith confirmed that the Punjab Kings had won by 12 runs against Mumbai Indians on Tuesday. Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan got out cheaply and Mumbai’s possible start was the worst. Dwivedi Brewis’ enterprising 49m was seen returning to the competition, but Oden Smith kept his composure and saw his team go home with 22 runs in the final over.
