After a groundbreaking 66-run knock against the Delhi Capitals on Saturday, wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik said he was doing his best to be a part of the Indian team.
“I worked really hard. I am trying my best to be part of the Indian team. Depending on the bowler who is bowling well. I respected Kuldeep because he was bowling well. When you are batting to the death, you try to get under the ball more when you hit. You sound like a serial killer to me (laughs if you want to know how he was so calm and hit them so hard at the same time) “ Karthik said in the post-match presentation.
“I must accept the position and peace comes from preparation. Other than that, it works even if it sounds clichd at the moment. He (Shahbaz) is a very special player, I am sure he is going to do something special. He can hit a ball far away. And he supports himself in what I love about him. “ He added.

The spectacular half-centuries from Glenn Maxwell and Dinesh Karthik were backed by the enthusiastic performances of the bowlers as the Royal Challengers Bangalore beat the Delhi Capitals by 16 runs in their IPL 2022 match at the Wankhede Stadium here.
Dinesh Karthik scored an unbeaten 66 and all-rounder Glenn Maxwell played a great knock of 55 to give Royal Challengers Bangalore a defensive target of 189/5. Shardul Tagore, Khalil Ahmed and Akshar Patel took one wicket each for DC.
For RCB, this is their fourth win in six matches in the Indian Premier League 2022 which has taken them to third place. This is their third defeat in five matches for Delhi.
