The incident happened in the 13th over of the innings. Just before that, Quinton de Kock hit a boundary off Sandeep Sharma. After scoring 46, the South African kept an eye on his half-century and tried to play a cut shot in the next delivery that was bowled off the outside. However, keeper Jitesh Sharma completed the catch and it took a faded edge. The on-field umpire, however, rejected the appeal but de Kock wasted no time as he was already on his way back.
Quinton de Kock’s performance was crucial for the LSG as their captain KL Rahul was dismissed for 3 in the third over of the innings. From 13/1, Quinton de Kock and Deepak Hooda put on a crucial 84-run stand for the second wicket. De Kock’s sixes included four fours and two sixes.
This South African is in great form in this year’s edition of IPL.
