North Carolina, Kansas advance to men’s national championship game

NEW ORLEANS, LA – The North Carolina Ter Hills and Kansas Jehoks will play for a national championship in the men’s final four after a thrilling Saturday night action Monday night.


Within one minute of the game tied at 74, North Carolina finished the game with seven of their final 10 points against Duke to advance to the national championship game. Caleb Love of North Carolina led all scorers with 28 points, while UNC big man Armando Beckett had 11 points and 21 rebounds. With the loss, legendary Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski’s career ended with 1,202 wins and 5 national championships.


Kansas jumped to a quick advantage against Villanova, building a 19-point lead in the first half and never looking back. The Wildcats reduced the deficit to six points in the second half, but the Jahcos did not. Kansas was led by David McCormack with 25 points and 9 rebounds and a 21-point lead in height.
