The Evergreen midfielder has made 183 appearances for the Reds since transferring from Stamford Bridge. After making 26 appearances in his season, mostly coming off the bench as an alternative, the player announced his decision to part ways with the club on Instagram.
“After much thought, I have decided that this season will be my last with Manchester United. I have informed the board, managers and players of my decision. Matic Dr.
“It’s a great honor and privilege to play for this great club. A big thank you to the fans for their unwavering support.
“I’m going to give my all by the end of the season now to help my teammates finish as strongly as possible.”
Nemanja has appeared in 122 Premier League games for Matic Cubs and has played under four different directors. He was bought by Jose Mourinho, who was replaced by Ole Gunnar Solaksjair, Michael Carrick and Ralph Rangnik.

The former Serbian international played in two major finals for Manchester United, which unfortunately came to an end. Matic was part of the United squad that played against Chelsea in the 2018 FA Cup final which the Blues won due to a penalty from Eden Hazard. Matic also played in the Europa League 2021 final, which United lost on penalties.
