The Raining Ladbrooks Stars Hurdle Champion at Panchetown Classical Dream (11/10) successfully defended his title this afternoon.
In the colors of Joan Coleman, Mount Paul Townend looked comfortable throughout the 3 mile event. Coming straight home, Cork Rider boosted his confidence on the previous 7-time winner. Once Closaton Priya was asked to take his step, he easily overtook long-time front-runners Gentleman’s Game and Rachel Blackmore.
Ashdale Bob (11/2) was ultimately the closest rival to the Classical Dream but a quarter of the length separated them in line. Brave Gentleman’s Game (10/1) remains in third place, one and a half more behind the runner-up.
For the third day in a row, the main highlight was Paul Townend-Willie Mullins, who has so far collected Grade 1 races at this year’s festival.
