The path to qualifying for the eight-team ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup has also been confirmed. At the end of the 22-25 ICC Women’s Championship (IWC) the eventual host of the event will automatically qualify with the next five top-local teams. The remaining two teams will be identified through a global qualifying event between the bottom four teams in the IWC and the additional two teams from the ODI rankings.

The path to qualifying for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 also ensured that 12 teams automatically qualified for the event.
