The Rajasthan Royals opener had already scored a century off 68 balls in the match against Mumbai Indians earlier this year. On Monday, the Englishman continued his great run as he faced the KKR bowlers.
Butler had a slow start in the innings as he made just 3 runs off the first 9 balls. From the tenth ball, he broke Umesh Yadav for a back-to-back boundary in the third over of the innings.
Butler has been able to find at least one boundary per over since he picked up his fifty in 29 deliveries. He single-handedly played Sunil Narine cautiously but continued to attack the other bowlers.
In the 17th over, he hit a full-toss long on from Pat Cummins to score his style in just 59 deliveries.
- With this century, Butler is now the first England player to score 3 centuries in the history of IPL.

Speaking after the inning, when Butler was asked to compare his two centuries this season, he said, “I enjoyed both. I loved both but I think today I was a little more fluid once I was going. It was great to get such a good score on the board.”
