“The city was really strong last week and we weren’t at our best.” Klopp told reporters on Thursday. “I want to see a game where we do our best. It would be nice, one might wonder if suddenly we are better! “The boys did a lot of good things in the game, but there were some things and I know we can perform at a different level.”
FA Cup Semifinals: Liverpool reached the FA Cup semifinals for the first time under Klopp, who took charge at Anfield in October 2015, following Diego Jotara’s late victory over Nottingham Forest last month. Klopp added that he would evaluate Jotta’s fitness for the FA Cup tie when the forward maintained a knock during a 3-3 draw with Benfica in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-final on Wednesday.
