Saturday was KL Rahul’s show. He scored his 2nd and 100th match of his IPL career against MI to help LSG after 199/4. Manish Pandey supported him well by scoring 38 off 29 balls.

But as it turned out, the Mumbai Indians’ top-order collapsed very quickly. Rohit Sharma was the first to go to Dewald Bravis. However, Baby AB made a great contribution by playing an innings of 31 runs from 13 balls. Suryakumar Yadav (37) and Tilak Verma (26) put together a 64-run stand but the LSG quickly came back with a succession. In the end, Kieron Pollard again failed to take MI home, losing the match by 18 runs.

The result means that Lucknow Super Giants have moved up to 2nd position with 8 points, behind Gujarat Titans in NRR. For Mumbai, they are the only team to have won a match so far, extending their losing streak to 6 matches.
