After removing the famous Krishna Aaron Finch, Shreyas Iyer continued, scoring 85 off 51 balls. However, everything turned upside down with Yuzbendra Chahal, achieving the first hat-trick of his career. He took the first wicket of the season with the wickets of Venkatesh Iyer, Shreyas Iyer and Pat Cummins in one over and broke the backbone of KKR.
Umesh Yadav kept the hopes alive, under pressure Obed McCoy saved 13 runs in the last over, Sheldon Jackson and Umesh Yadav took two wickets to give RR a famous victory.

Earlier, sent to bat, Jos Butler continued his great form, scoring his second century of IPL 2022. His 103 off 61 balls as well as Sanju Samson’s 38 off 19 balls took the Rajasthan Royals to 217/5, the highest score of the season so far.
Sent to bat, RR Butler and Padikkal got off to a great start, adding 97 runs for the first wicket. When Narine removed Padikkal, Butler and Sanju Samson continued to lead by 10 runs in the over. Eventually, Butler’s century and some of Hetmeyer’s power-hitting RR took him to 217/5.
