Badosa is the second pick waiting for Halep’s challenge

Iga Svitek was previously the top pick but his departure from the tournament has made Pala Badosa one of the favorites. Garbine Muguruza tops the list in the first quarter after the withdrawal of Swatech

Iga Suatek, who was in the first draw earlier, withdrew from the tournament due to a shoulder injury. Her absence now brings in her place Laila Fernandez, who is the 17th pick of the tournament. He will play in the first round against qualifier Andrea Petkovic.

Swiatek withdrew, though seventh-seeded Garbine Muguruza made the quarter-title. Muguruza will face acidic Azila Tomljanovic in the first round.

The quarterbacks also include US Open champion Emma Radukanu, 16th seed Elena Rybakina, Petra Kevitova and Solen Stephens.

Maria Sakkari, Daniel Collins & Naomi Osaka Second Quarter Title

Fourth pick of the tournament Maria Sakkari top pick in the second quarter. Sakkari will face Madison Kiss in the opening round. Another top pick in the draw is sixth pick Daniel Collins. Collins will face Monica Puig, who entered the wildcard in the first round. No. 6 pick Daniel Collins opposes Sakkari’s projected quarterfinals.

Naomi Osaka is also part of the draw as she faces qualifier Anastasia Potapova in the first round. Osaka returns after reaching the final of the Miami Open and will make his debut on clay court this year.

Arena Sabalenka ahead in the third quarter

Third pick Arena Sabalenka top pick in the third quarter of the draw. Sabalenka will face a tough challenge in her opening match as she takes on Amanda Anisimova. Sabalenka have yet to beat the United States in three matches.

Meanwhile Carolina Pliskova is fifth pick and she is part of this quarter. He will face qualifier Marie Buzkova in the first round. Tenth seed Jelena Ostapenko and 15th seed Victoria Azarenka are in the draw.

Pala Badosa in the fourth quarter

Second pick Pala Badosa is the top pick of the fourth quarter. She will face Veronica Kudarmetova in the first round and will likely face Simona Halep in the second round. Meanwhile, Halep will face Zhang Shuai of China in the first round.

The next big seed in the Oz Jabeur quarter. He started the tournament by playing Italy’s unseeded Jasmine Paolini in the first round. Eleventh-seeded Belinda Bensick and 14th-seeded Coco Goff are also part of the quarter. Pick No. 14 Coco Goff is the third-round opponent of Badosa, and Pick No. 8 is awaiting the quarterfinals of Oz Jabeur.
