A new name to many, Rowley, of Australian descent, qualified to travel to Ireland through his mother, Geraldine McNamara, who came from Kilrash in County Clare and moved to Australia in the twenties. Rowley, who is a former junior world champion in 24-year-old Kairin today (Thursday) and has been traveling around Europe and Australia in support of his family for the past 12 months, has demonstrated his skills at the senior elite level.

Rowley traveled to Dublin for the Track National Championships in August last year after an extended period of lockdown in Australia. He then moved to Palma to further his training and achieved a number of notable results in Europe, including 2nd and 5th at Portugal’s Tropheu Internationale de Pistachio and 4th and 5th at Barcelona’s Trophiu Internacional de Pistachio. “So many years of hard work and dedication have reached this stage and it is incredibly exciting to finally be given a chance at this level.”

Extra Time Web Desk: The contract of Indian women’s head coach Ramesh Power has come to an end at the conclusion of the team’s campaign for the ICC World Cup and she may have to re-apply for the post as per BCCI rules.

With National Cricket Academy (NCA) chief VVS Laxman taking an active part in mentoring the country’s next batch of cricketers, the catastrophic World Cup campaign could lead to a radical change in women’s cricket. The team could not reach the semifinals of the ongoing tournament.

Poir replaces WV Raman, who led the team to the 2020 World Cup final.

“The power deal lasted until the World Cup. There is no provision to increase. So the whole process starts with application and interview. Poir must re-apply and the CAC (Cricket Advisory Committee) will take a call as per the constitution, “a senior BCCI source told PTI on condition of anonymity.

After a good performance with the team, eyebrows were raised for not giving Raman a second term and Powar, who has a checkered history with captain Mitali Raj, was brought back.

“The CAC took the call and if they thought Ramesh would do better than Raman, it was their call. The board cannot intervene, “the source said.

At the end of India’s campaign in New Zealand, PTI reported, there were serious differences of opinion between the two senior players, who have now been in controversy for years.

It is understood that Poir did something valuable to ease tensions between the two warring factions, and it remains to be seen whether he will renew his contract.

Also, the team has nothing to write about Poor’s performance in the two rounds, especially the current one when India lost every series under his charge before their unofficial exit from the showpiece.

With the inaugural Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup scheduled for next year, eager to prepare the next batch of BCCI players, Laxman is playing a bigger role in building a model for long-term success.

One of the major concerns is the transfer of experienced fast bowler Jhulan Goswami.

“Even if you pass Mitali, there is not much change in Jhulan. So that’s a problem that the board is facing. Hopefully, the planned WIPL will reveal enough talent for the future, ”the source said.

Laxman, and Rahul Dravid, the head coach of the men’s team who created the NCA module, are expected to be consulted up front.

This is the Champions Cup Rugby and we have a starting team for Connach v Leinster, BT Sports TV coverage for the kick-off at 8pm.

A capacity crowd is expected for Connaught’s first appearance in the knockout stages of the Champions Cup, and head coach Andy Friend is able to welcome a number of key players just in time for the event.

The British and Irish Lion Bundy are back in their first appearance since before the Aki Six Nations, where Gavin Thornbury also got his first start of the season after an impressive cameo off the bench last weekend after an 11-month absence.

The third and final change is the inclusion of club captain Jared Butler after he missed the win against Benetton due to injury.

He formed a back row with Flankersian Prendergast and Connor Oliver, where Leva became a partner of Fifita Thornbury. The front rows of Matthew Burke, Dave Heffernan and Finlay Belham remain unchanged.

Match captain Jack Carty starts at 10 next to Kieran Marmion, while Aki joins Tom Farrell in the outside center. Full-back Tiernan O’Halloran and winger Mac Hansen and John Porch complete a back three team.

Commenting on the team’s announcement, Andy Friend said:

“There is a huge tension between all the players and the management for next night. You want to get involved with games like these, and with the capacity crowd behind us, this is going to be a great occasion and we firmly believe that we can win.

We have more than 45 players coached by our professional and integrated academy players so this is a great place to be at this stage of the season and it has also given the coaches some headaches for our squad selection. “

Leinster Team News

Cullen has added captain Johnny Sexton to this week’s matchday squad after integrating some returning internationals into the lineup for last weekend’s win at Thomund Park.

The St. Mary’s College man will join Luke McGrath’s half-back, playing inside the same back line that started against Munster.

Hugo Canan has a full-back with Jimmy O’Brien, four try scorers in Leinster’s last European outing and James Lowe on the wings.

Gary Ringrose again joins Robbie Hensch in midfield.

With Cian Healy, Dan Sheehan, Tadhg Furlong, Ross Molony and Josh Murphy in the pack, Cullen has made wholesale changes to the front five.

Behind them, the back rows of Caelan Doris, Josh van der Flier and Jack Conan remain unchanged.

The replacement benches are James Tracy, Ed Byrne, Michael Ala’toa, Devin Toner, Max Degan, Jameson Gibson-Park, Ross Byrne and Ciaran Frawley.

Extra Time Web Desk: Lucknow Super Kings (LSG) defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 6 wickets in the IPL 2022 match at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai on Thursday. LSG chased down the target with three balls to spare. For LSG, Evin Lewis and Quinton de Kock scored half-centuries and KL Rahul also made great cameos at the top of the order.

LSG scored an unbeaten 55 off 23 balls, from a desperate situation, to meet a great target of 211 with three balls to spare. Openers KL Rahul (40) and Quinton de Kock (61) laid the groundwork with a rolling stand but the increasing required run rate made the task extremely difficult for LSG.

However, Lewis had another idea and with the talented Ayush Badoni, who played his role by scoring 19 not out, in the end it looks pretty easy.

The script changed completely in the blink of an eye as Lewis and Badoni smashed Shivam Dubey for 25 in the last over to bring the equation down to nine off the last six balls.

Sure, there will be a debate about handing over the ball to Dubey in the 19th over.

All in all, Lewis hit six fours and three sixes to record his first win in the LSG profitable league for the first time. Badoni hit two maximum hits, which became important in the context of the final result.

Earlier, leg-spinner Ravi Vishnu (2/24) did a great job with the wet ball in difficult situations, even Robin Uthappa turned the clock back to give CSK a strong lead with his beautiful but brutal attack.

Rahul and De Kock punished CSK for admitting to the bowlers.

The pair were in their destructive best position, dealing only fours and sixes and at one point it looked like they were going to finish the game in quick time.

But Dwayne Pretorius (2/31) was right in his mark as Dwayne Bravo (1/35) let go of Rahul before Manish Pandey was sacked to bring the defending champions back into the game.

Pretorius hit again, accounting for compatriot De Kock as CSK continued to create pressure with good fielding.

Then, Lewis joined forces with Badoni to work for the LSG.

Only nine needed in the last over and Mukesh Chowdhury bowled a few wide, Badoni hit a six to equalize the score and then took his side over the line.

Earlier, Uthappa hit a smooth 50 off 27 balls before Dubey made 49 off 30 balls to give CSK a tough start, with skipper Rabindra Jadeja (17 off 9 balls) and MS Dhoni (16 off 6 balls) hitting two fours and a six in the final. Provide improvement.

Uthappa looked like a man on a mission as he reprimanded Avesh Khan (2/38) for a back-to-back boundary off the first two balls of the innings.

As soon as the ball came nicely to the bat, he smashed it across the entire park.

CSK suffered a blow when Ritu Raj Gaikwad (1), who was very low at the crease in the third over, was eliminated in the third over as a result of Vishnu’s direct injury from the backward point.

But Uthappa and newcomer Moin Ali (35) continued to attack with only fours and sixes.

The Super Giants bowlers had no answer for the pair as CSK scored 63 for one at the end of the powerplay.

In all, Uthappa hit eight fours and a maximum, with Moin hitting four boundaries and two sixes in his 22 balls.

Vishnu again brought his second success when he trapped Uthappa Leg Before in a quick delivery, shortly after the batter reached his fifties.

In the ninth over, Dushamantha Chamira (0/49) hit three boundaries and Uthappa picked up Dubey. It was a bad day for Sri Lanka as he was repeatedly confused with the ball on the field, giving easy boundaries.

With bowlers struggling to get nothing from the wicket, the sloping fielding made matters worse for the LSG.

Dubey and Ambati Rayudu (26), then, shared a 60-run stand to keep CSK on track for a big score.
