Akash Deep joined the RCB team as an intern and learned a lot in his first few months. Subsequently, he was a net bowler in IPL 2020 and 2021. The right-handed pacer said that this experience gave him a lot of confidence. The 25-year-old also revealed that he always wanted to become an RCB because he was a fan of Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers.

IPL 2022: The dream start of IPL 2022 season with Akash Deep RCB
- After a very limited chance in IPL 2021, Akash Deep finally got a long rope in the 2022 season.
- So far he has played four matches for RCB and taken five wickets. His best performance came against KKR
- The right-arm pacer picked up three wickets to limit KKR to just 128
- He bowled well in the middle overs and scored more than 8 runs per over in most of the games
- He also bowled at a speed of about 140 kmph and used his variety smartly
