When Ken Williamson came to bat after the wicket, when the team score was 39/2, Aiden Markram stuck a great 94-run partnership with Rahul Tripathi which took the game completely away from KKR.
For the most part, Markram took on the role of anchor and allowed his partner to score. Markram started hitting the boundary after getting Tripathi’s fifty. When 63 runs were required in the last seven overs, Markram hit three boundaries in a row to reduce the required run rate and punished Umesh Yadav.

Even after Tripathi was out, Markram confirmed that he controlled the innings. He reached 50 off 31 balls. It was a really tough chase but what was impressive about Markram’s knock was how he calculated the risks in the cold head and the chase looks very easy.
Needing 18 runs in the last three overs, Markram finished the game with a boundary and two sixes in a row to give his side a total lead in 17.5 overs. This is Markram’s second half century this season.
